Each councillor feeds independently into one shared verdict — node size is that councillor's current confidence (M), spoke thickness is how much it's actually swaying the verdict right now (weight × M). Real, live data — not a decorative diagram.
MFL-FinalScore doesn't reuse a cached answer — every activation recomputes nine independent signal layers fresh against the full draw history, so what you see reflects the current state exactly, not a memory of an earlier one. The real cost, in order: a per-ball Lyapunov exponent for all 45 numbers, a full ball-to-ball coalition/co-occurrence map, a multivariate Hawkes process fit (numerically optimising a genuine self-exciting point process), a Bayesian-surprisal KL-divergence read, Fisher information via Cramér-Rao bounds, Marchenko-Pastur random-matrix cleaning for the mean-field layer, and a thermodynamic entropy measure — each one recomputed across several rolling historical windows, not a single snapshot, so the precision weighting genuinely reflects how volatile each signal has been lately, not a fixed assumption. Only once all nine layers exist does real split-conformal calibration run — checked against actual historical outcomes, not an assumed distribution — before diversity selection draws your game-sets from it.
MuZero's column answers faster, and honestly, not because it's doing less — because its expensive part already happened. The learning sits behind it, inside the trained network's weights; each activation is just a handful of forward passes through that network, sampling fresh from real exploration noise every time. Cheap per call because the hard work was already paid for, once, during training.
Both of these brains — MFL-FinalScore and MuZero — are still young. What's thinking tonight is an early stage of something that keeps maturing with every run. Where it eventually grows into, honestly, none of us know yet — only time will tell, and that's part of what makes it worth watching.
